We’re going to try something new next Monday 9/24 after ALL league games have finished.  It’s totally optional, you certainly don’t have to enter if you prefer not to.

The cost will be $5/person.  This is an individual event, not a team event.

Once everyone has registered that wants to play and paid their $5, we will have a random drawing to see where players line up.  Players will be randomly put into groups of 5-6 players and the order within that group will also be randomly chosen.

If you played basketball growing up, you probably already know how this works.

Within your group of 5-6 players the first player will attempt a shot from ANYWHERE they want.  They can try from one foot away or 50 feet away, it’s totally up to them.  If (and only if) they MAKE the shot, then the next person in line has to attempt and make the exact same shot.  If the second person makes it then the third person then has to try and make it.  If you miss, then you get a letter starting with H.  Once you miss five times (after the person in front of you makes a shot) and you have 5 letters spelling HORSE, you are out.

If the player in front of you misses, then you are free to attempt a shot from anywhere you want with the hopes of making it and giving a letter to someone else in your group.

There is one “finalist” from each group.  So if we have say 18 players, we would split into 3 groups of 6 players.  Each group would have a winner and then the 3 players that won their group would start all over again in the Finals.

Cash prizes will be paid.  Total entries less $15 will be paid out.  Hoping I can get a trophy by Monday, but not sure…

No need to register before Monday.  Just come Monday and if you want to play, make sure you save $5 for the contest.
