A suggestion was made to combine D1 and D2 in the Winter league and form a 20 team division. You would play as one division during the “regular” season and then at the end of the regular season the division would be split in half. The top 10 or so teams would then participate in the D1 playoffs and the bottom 10 teams or so would participate in the D2 playoffs.
