Week 1 of the Blind Draw League is in the Books

The first week of the blind draw league is in the books (you can view the standings/results by clicking on Mondays/Blind Draw above).  Congrats to Bob Adams and John Toohey on their weekly win in the Upper Division.  Also congrats to Beau Horky, Wayne Colonna and Michelle Cahill who all went 5-1.  In the Lower Division it was Tyler Thevenin and Chuck Nagy winning the weekly tournament.  Tyler and Mike Burdette also went 5-1 in league play.  At the end of the night every player won at least one game and nobody went undefeated, so that’s pretty cool.

If you have any feedback on the league format please let me know.  I think the timing worked out so we will plan to play 6 games a week per person.  You can miss one week and still be eligible for season ending prizes and to play in the season ending tournament.  Everyone who plays at least 4 of the 5 weeks will be entered into the season ending tourney.

Finally, as you noticed, we have new bags.  The feedback thus far has been very positive, but I realize there is an adjustment period for many to get used to them.  I expect that over the next few weeks as the bags break in that they will be the best bags we’ve used in the league to date, or at least I hope that is the case and considerably less expensive (and more durable) than ACO bags.  If you have feedback on the bags, please let me know that as well.  Thanks.
